What if you could get ChatGPT to sound just like you... or even just like your favorite guru?
In this segment from the I-Convert Summit, Chris Jeong shares a game-changing framework for crafting better prompts and getting the results you actually want from AI.
It's called the CTL Method (The Control Method), and it’ll seriously upgrade your prompting game.
👇 Watch the video below to see how to make ChatGPT smarter, sharper, and way more helpful.
Unlocking AI Power: The Control Method for Better Prompts
This one's from Chris Jeong's brilliant presentation at the i-Convert Summit, and it's all about how to get better, smarter results from AI (specifically ChatGPT). Let’s dive in!
Show AI What “Good” Looks Like
If, for example, you come across some copy, a video, or a voice you really love—someone doing what you want to do—you can copy and paste that into AI and say, "Analyze that text and give me output that looks like that."
Basically, show ChatGPT what good looks like. Give it the context so it actually knows what you want it to deliver.
💡 Hot tip: Use punctuation like full stops, commas, and colons. Yep, that stuff matters.
And yes, be polite. It can’t hurt—and if Skynet ever does become real, it might remember who was nice. 😂
Use the Control Method (CTL) for Better Results
Now, the real magic happens with something Chris calls the Control Method, or CTL.
Let’s break that down:
• C is for Context
This is what the AI is about to do. Most people skip this bit, but it’s crucial. You know the backstory in your head, but AI doesn’t—so give it that context!
• T is for Task
This is the action you want it to take. Simple and clear. What do you want it to do?
• L is for Limitations
Set your boundaries. Word limits, tone of voice, formats, keywords, what to include or leave out—this is where you shape the result.
Put those three together—Context, Task, Limitations—and you’ll get drastically better output.
Clone Yourself (Or Tony Robbins!)
Once you nail the CTL method, you can basically clone yourself. You give AI your style, tone, format, and boom—it writes like you.
Even better?
You can recreate world-class content. Chris gave a fun example: want to sound like Tony Robbins?
Feed AI one of his speeches, ask it to analyze it, and then rewrite your content using that style.
Yep, world-class speech vibes—tailored to your message.
A Quick Example (Set in Space!)
Chris gave this prompt:
“We’re going to write a creative short story about how awesome Chris is. It will be set in space and have a beginning, middle, and end. Write the short story including a title for it in an interesting, engaging tone. Limit to 75 words or less.”
Let’s break that down:
• Context: Write a short story about how awesome Chris is (set in space, beginning/middle/end)
• Task: Write a creative short story with a title
• Limitations: Keep it interesting and engaging, under 75 words
Here’s what the AI came up with:
Chris and the Cosmic Catalyst
In a galaxy buzzing with mediocrity, Chris shone like the North Star.
At the start, space was a chaotic mess.
Then Chris, using a space guitar, strummed a melody that synced star systems and soothed black holes.
Middle: galaxies danced, nebulae swirled in harmony.
As the final note resonated, the universe—now in symphony—whispered its gratitude.
Chris just winked: “That’s what I’m here for,” and a legend echoed eternally.

Not bad, right?
That level of storytelling wouldn’t have been possible without the CTL method.
And guess what?
ChatGPT recently introduced the ability to understand and act on images too… so the power just keeps growing.
